Blue & Green Marine’s mission is to deliver an environmentally-friendly method of preventing fouling using ultrasound, applicable to leisure and commercial vessels and sub-sea structures throughout the world.

Research & Development

The group is committed to a programme of research and development to develop solutions that will minimise damage to the marine environment as a result of human activity and to aid  the most efficient use of  fuel and maximise performance.

The Blue & Green System is the product of that research and development.  Drawing upon expertise in ultrasound and electronics from around the world,  Blue & Green Marine has developed a system which recognises and reacts to the particular characteristics of the hull or structure – material, thickness, contours, fittings etc., and the water temperature surrounding it – and automatically adjusts its operation to deliver the optimum output for effective prevention of fouling. The unique aspects of the original system have been patented and patents are applied for in respect of the new technologies incorporated in the Blue & Green System.  

History

Blue & Green Marine was set up to develop and market a system for the prevention of fouling by the scientific application of ultrasound. The company introduced its original Hull Protection System to the UK market in 2008 and in November of that year won two awards at the Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) in Amsterdam in recognition of achievement in the field of marine electronics and as an Eco-friendly product.
 Early in 2009, Blue & Green Marine made the first step in its international expansion with the establishment of a company in Australia, Blue & Green Marine Pty Ltd, to manage distribution of the HPS in Australia and New Zealand.

It is working with a Australian partner with over 35 years successful experience in the marine electronics field to enhance the technology to a level far beyond what has been seen so far.

Throughout this time Blue & Green Marine has worked with boat builders, owners and users to understand the hugely challenging environments in which any anti fouling system has to deliver successful results. The need to have the System adapt itself to accommodate a diversity of environments and the huge variances in materials and construction methods has driven the development of a truly innovative and intelligent solution.

The company is now actively seeking to expand its distribution and support network worldwide. Blue and Green Marine is an international company, with its principal operations in Europe and Australia.
